Andrea Carlevato is a highly experienced and skilled Head of Engineering, currently leading the Core Experience team at Grab, the leading marketplace for mobility, food and groceries delivery, and digital financial services solutions in Southeast Asia. With over 17 years of experience in building and leading highly scaled engineering organizations, Andrea is responsible for a team of 210+ amazing engineers and a CEO-like personal portfolio that extends over the whole spectrum of business, product, and engineering leadership, full-stack technical and operational excellence, team formation, and team health. Andrea is passionate about harnessing the power of customer centricity, continuous experimentation, engineering excellence, empowerment, and inclusiveness to build and grow lasting high-performance, scaled engineering organizations capable of crafting products that make the world a better place. She has extensive experience in mobile and backed systems design and development and is highly cross-functional, highly trained, and fluent in business and product strategy shaping. In addition to her leadership role at Grab, Andrea has also held leadership positions at Spotify, where she led the Spotify Connect Embedded team, delivering the full-stack platform that powers Spotify on smart speakers, TVs, cars, and more. She is particularly proud of the progress made towards continuous delivery, awesome cross-units partnerships unlocking new product value, customer-first driven development, and team engagement. Andrea has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Politecnico di Torino and completed an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in 2019.
